Yapona Hata (Япона Хата) is a Kyiv-based sushi chain with two locations in downtown Lviv.
Where?
The more crowded Yapona Hata in Lviv is on Strarojevreis’ka Street. It’s closer to Rynok Square, has a covered summer terrace, and sits directly opposite popular sweet shop Ciukernia.
Atmosphere
The terrace at Yapona Hata on Strarojevreis’ka Street can be full even during cooler weather. In wintertime, finding a seat at the Starojevreis’ka location can be difficult, especially for non-smokers on weekends.
Menu
You will find standard sushi fare and a variety of soups and salads. Try the octopus and pickled bamboo salads or suimono soup with salmon. For larger parties, go for the sushi boat specials, which include discounted drinks.
Keep in Mind
Yapona Hata is one of the few places in Lviv that’s open 24-7; great for late night dining or if you have the munchies after a night of clubbing.
Compared to nearby Yapi sushi bar (mainly a student hangout),
Yapona Hata is more tourist-friendly with English menus and generally faster service.
