From Thursday, February 28th till Thursday, March 28th, visit the Salo Modern Art Museum to check out March Cats by Vasya Lozhkin, a Russian artist and blogger. Lozhkin's paintings can be warm and witty, or crazy and cruel - he portrays parallel world – the world of psychosis, madness, extreme forms of mental states, visions and hallucinations. Admission is free.

From Tuesday, March 19th till Sunday, April 7th, The Green Sofa Gallery will host "Organic Structures. Continuation" by Volodymyr Chornobay. The artist aims to combine two realities – subjective and abstract and find the balance between them.

From Friday, March 22nd till Friday, April 12th, the Lemish Gallery will host Young Artists of Ukraine. The exhibit features the works by a range of young artists, the members of Slava Frolova-Group project. You will find the paintings by Anna Sayenko (Kharkiv), Bohdan Kukhars'kyi (Lviv), Vadym Horans'kyi (Kyiv), Mykhailo Tymchuk (Ivano-Frankivs'k) and others. No admission fee.

From Friday, March 22nd till Sunday, April 7th, L’UFT Pub will host "Meow-Meow" Girls by Vitaliy Dmytruk. The exhibit is devoted to canonization of woman's image. Vitaliy Dmytruk works in an experimental style that combines innocence, sexuality, jazz and comical aesthetics. The artist rethinks ordinary images and depicts them "from the other side".

On Sunday, March 24th, at 12 p.m. catch a matinee performance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" at the Lviv Opera House. The libretto is adapted from E.T.A. Hoffmann's story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King". For tickets, visit the Opera House box office or call ahead to reserve.

On Sunday, March 24th, at 6 p.m. catch a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Rigoletto" sung in the original at the Lviv Opera House. The Italian libretto was written by Francesco Maria Piave based on the play Le roi s'amuse by Victor Hugo. For tickets, visit the Opera House box office or call ahead to reserve.

On Sunday, March 24th, at 8 p.m. make your way to Robert Doms Beer House for some blues by the Andrew Kokhan Blues Band. No cover charge. Call ahead to reserve a table.

On Sunday, March 24th, at 8 pm head upstairs to Kvartyra 35 (Dzyga) to catch the Andriy Arnautov Project. Arnautov has performed with legendary saxophonist Archie Shepp, renowned guitarist Charlie Byrd and violinist Vesser Clemens. No cover charge. Call ahead to reserve a table.
